Job summary

Orbisk is hiring a senior data engineer in Amsterdam to own the data infrastructure and end-to-end pipelines for an AI-native product. You will architect secure, scalable data flows from edge to AI models, collaborating with AI specialists, software engineers, and data analysts to enable better insights for customers.

Orbisk offers strong compensation (€6.500 - €7.500/month ex. holiday allowance), 30 days annual leave, 7% pension, wellness and learning budgets, and free lunch at the office.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of relevant experience in data engineering or similar field.
• AI-native approach to building data infra and tooling.
• Strong Python, SQL, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) skills.
• Experience with API management, ELT, data warehousing, and BigQuery.
• Infrastructure as code with Terraform; containerization via Docker/Kubernetes.
• Experience with Apache Beam and near real-time streaming.
• Ownership mindset and ability to communicate technical trade-offs clearly.
• Enjoy collaborating with a fast-paced scale-up and being in the Amsterdam office.

Responsibilities

• Own the pipeline from end to end, from ingestion to analytics.
• Architect for an AI-native data platform and APIs for internal and external use.
• Design, scale, and secure data storage and processing on GCP.
• Drive ELT and warehousing with BigQuery and Dataform.
• Collaborate with AI, software, and data analysts to enable better models.
• Automate infrastructure as code with Terraform and containerization.
