Job summary

Whatsnext Ai is seeking a hands-on AI engineer to design, build and optimise intelligent agents and automation systems, tackling real business problems with multi-model AI and RAG.

You’ll work from an individual contributor toward architectural leadership, applying fine-tuning, retrieval, and evaluation to deliver measurable client impact. Fluent Dutch and strong English are required.

Qualifications

• Proven LangSmith experience and n8n familiarity.
• Strong Python background for production AI systems.
• Hands-on RAG architecture with chunking optimisation.
• Fluent Dutch and strong English.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement multi-step, multi-model AI agents.
• Build and optimise RAG systems for agentic use cases.
• Create automation workflows in n8n integrating AI models and APIs.
• Use LangSmith for observability and debugging.
• Apply fine-tuning methods including PEFT/LoRA.
• Manage training data collection and curation.
• Develop evaluation frameworks for accuracy and reliability.
• Improve prompts, retrieval strategies and fine-tuning.
