Harnham is seeking an AI/ML Engineer to design, develop, and deploy production-grade AI solutions. You will build AI-powered applications and backend services in Python, leveraging FastAPI, Pydantic, and modern LLM technologies to deliver measurable business value.

Responsibilities include developing AI assistants and orchestration frameworks, integrating enterprise data sources, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring code quality with automated testing and CI/CD practices.

Qualifications

• Production-grade Python development experience.
• Experience with FastAPI, Pydantic, and API architectures.
• Experience building LLM-powered apps using OpenAI/LangChain.
• Strong prompt engineering, agent orchestration, and tool calling.
• Data integration and enterprise data pipelines knowledge.
• Testing and QA practices for AI applications.
• Docker, CI/CD, and cloud environments knowledge.
• Maintainable, observable, scalable software practices.
• Ability to collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

The Role

As an AI/ML Engineer, you will design, develop, and deploy production-grade AI solutions that deliver tangible business value.

Responsibilities include:

• Building and scaling AI-powered applications and backend services using Python
• Developing AI assistants, agent workflows, and orchestration frameworks using modern LLM technologies
• Translating business requirements into reliable, secure, and production-ready AI solutions
• Integrating enterprise data sources into AI products and services
• Collaborating with data, engineering, and business stakeholders to deliver end-to-end solutions
• Creating reusable components, tools, and frameworks to accelerate future AI development
• Developing and maintaining automated testing and evaluation frameworks for AI applications
• Supporting containerised deployments, CI/CD pipelines, and operational best practices
• Monitoring solution performance and driving continuous improvement after deployment
• Ensuring solutions align with security, privacy, and responsible AI standards

Your Skills & Experience

• Strong commercial experience building production-grade applications in Python
• Expertise with FastAPI, Pydantic, and API-based architectures
• Experience developing LLM-powered applications using technologies such as OpenAI, LangChain, and LangGraph
• Strong understanding of prompt engineering, agent orchestration, tool calling, and structured outputs
• Experience working with Databricks, SQL, data pipelines, and enterprise data integration
• Knowledge of automated testing and quality assurance practices for AI applications
• Experience with Docker, Azure DevOps, CI/CD, and cloud-based environments
• Understanding of software engineering best practices, including maintainability, observability, and scalability
• Ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• A collaborative mindset and passion for delivering high-quality AI products
