Job summary

Haskoning is seeking a Junior Data Scientist to accelerate AI adoption within our Supply Chain & Logistics advisory group. You will work at the intersection of data science, optimization, software development, and AI innovation, developing prototypes and integrating AI capabilities into existing products and services.

You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across advisory groups and digital teams, contributing to AI-driven solutions, and helping colleagues adopt AI technologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field such as Data Science, AI, or Analytics.
• Fluent English and Dutch with strong communication skills.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL with strong analytical ability.
• Knowledge of data pipelines, data modeling, and basic AI concepts including prompting and embeddings (RAG).
• Proactive, eager to learn, and capable of inspiring others.

Responsibilities

• Drive AI and LLM initiatives by tracking AI developments and translating trends into practical applications.
• Build AI-powered tools to improve efficiency and support knowledge-sharing across teams.
• Contribute to client projects in areas like planning, optimization, and cost-to-serve analyses.
• Perform data analyses and develop models in Python.
• Assist with validation, interpretation, and communication of results.
