Who you are

You are a passionate engineer who finds technology fascinating and enjoys staying up to date with the most effective tools available. You thrive solving a huge but meaningful challenge and therefore are aligned with mission of Ditto

You already know Claude Code, Cursor, and Copilot aren’t just tools, they’re how you ship better software, faster. You use AI to amplify your craft, not replace it. This isn’t about generating code and hoping it works; it’s about writing exceptional software with AI as your force multiplier.

You are an experienced professional who takes ownership of the AI backend, from endpoint development to prompt engineering, evaluation, data engineering, AI observability, including requirements discovery, design, deployment, and monitoring. We are all uncovering new frontiers in technology, and you enjoy actively exploring them with us.

Key Responsibilities

• Lightning speed delivery. Take responsibility for AI pipelines and backend implementation. Build AI evaluation pipelines to measure safety, accuracy, and relevance. Set up AI observability to track, audit, and improve model performance. Implement MLOps and LLMOps best practices.
• Design and implement tangible, practical systems and applications (avoiding over-engineering). Think along but also push back when our bold ambitions are technically infeasible/harder than we naively think.
• Think secure. Ensure that secure solutions are in place from day one. Apply best practices in security for coding and architecture. Conduct regular vulnerability assessments to identify and mitigate risks proactively. Proactively design for privacy, compliance, and resilience.
• Product Collaboration. Understand business needs behind each change in software. Work closely with product teams to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions. Ensure flexible architecture, capable to survive significant pivots.
