Job summary

Booking.com in Amsterdam, Netherlands, is seeking a proactive Test Engineer II to join our CS SES testing team. You will work across cross-functional squads to test Pega workflows from an end-user perspective, focusing on Customer Service agents.

You will embed into Agile teams to drive risk-based testing, advocate testability early, and build deterministic automated checks for APIs and backend services, including AI testing methodologies.

Qualifications

• Experience in test design, execution, and automation in Agile environments.
• Hands-on backend and API testing plus frontend testing for low-code platforms.
• Familiar with Playwright, Rest Assured or Postman for automation.
• Experience testing AI/LLM features and models.
• Strong risk-based and exploratory testing skills.

Responsibilities

• Execute test design and risk-based testing from design to release within cross-functional Agile squads.
• Guide teams to test features early, advocating for isolated verification, shift-left testing.
• Build and maintain fast, deterministic test automation for APIs and backend services.
• Test end-to-end Pega workflows from an agent perspective with non-functional checks (performance, security, etc.).
• Explore, implement, and test AI features and LLM models within testing workflows.
• Coach and mentor less experienced test engineers on testing best practices.
