Job summary

ING NL is seeking an IT Area Lead AI delivery within Engineering & Reliability to steer the adoption of AI in software delivery across the NL engineering ecosystem. You will lead a team of engineers and orchestrate AI tooling, guardrails, and SDLC integration, ensuring humans stay accountable while agents execute clearly defined tasks.

• 7+ years leading engineering teams in complex tech environments.
• Proven ability to translate AI-native delivery vision into concrete designs.
• Experience with AI-assisted development, agentic workflows and secure SDLC controls.

Responsibilities

• Lead AI-enabled engineering enablement across the NL SDLC.
• Govern and orchestrate local AI initiatives with ING Group and Tech NL.
• Gatekeeper for new AI tools to ensure safe implementation.
• Develop area roadmap, capacity plan and budget input for AI-enabled engineering.
