Job summary

Metyis is growing and seeks an AI Data Governance Lead to join the Data and Analytics team in Amsterdam. You will help clients embed Data and AI governance, shape reusable governance blocks, and collaborate with senior stakeholders across Data, AI, Architecture, Privacy and Security to drive responsible AI and trusted data foundations.

With 4–6 years in Data Governance or related fields, you will translate complex governance challenges into practical roadmaps and templates, facilitating

Qualifications

• 4–6 years of experience in Data Governance, Data Management, Data Quality, Analytics or Business Analysis.
• Exposure to AI/ML environments or AI governance valued.
• Strong understanding of data ownership, stewardship, metadata, lineage and governance processes.
• Ability to translate governance concepts into business value for both technical and non‑technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Help clients turn Data and AI Governance from concept into daily practice with high business value and stakeholder engagement.
• Identify priority stakeholders, pain points and governance gaps with Business, Data, AI and IT teams.
• Define governance ownership and accountability, including Data Owners, Data Stewards and Data Custodians.
• Facilitate workshops to align stakeholders on ownership, definitions and governance requirements.
• Translate governance challenges into clear, actionable implementation plans.
• Support embedding governance into day‑to‑day operations covering data quality, metadata, lineage and access.
