Main Capital Partners is seeking an AI Analyst to translate AI opportunities into concrete initiatives across our software portfolio. You will work with the Product, Tech & AI Lead and support portfolio companies and deal teams by defining KPIs and driving measurable business impact.
The role combines strategic and hands-on work, assessing AI capabilities during due diligence, translating insights into actionable recommendations, and helping develop AI playbooks used across the portfolio.
Due to the increase in the number of companies in our portfolio and the growing importance of strong product and technology foundations within the software landscape, we are further expanding the Performance Excellence team. We are therefore looking for an AI Analyst.
As an AI Analyst, you will work closely with the Product, Tech & AI Lead within Performance Excellence and support both portfolio companies and deal teams in identifying, evaluating, and executing AI initiatives that create measurable business impact.
At Main Capital Partners, we believe in the power of smart, driven individuals to shape the future of software.
With over €12 billion in assets under management, we are a strategic investor focused on innovative software companies across Benelux, DACH, Nordics, France, and North America. Our mission is to support sustainable growth in the software sector, one of the most dynamic and impactful industries today.
We’re proud of our strong track record and our reputation as one of Europe’s most distinctive and high-performing investors. With a portfolio of 55+ companies and over 150 add-on acquisitions, we’re growing fast, and so is our team of 100+ professionals across offices in The Hague, Antwerp, Düsseldorf, Stockholm, Paris, and our affiliate office in Boston.
As an AI Analyst, you will help portfolio companies translate AI opportunities into concrete initiatives, ensuring that these projects are designed, implemented, and monitored with clear KPIs and measurable outcomes. By tracking key AI metrics and performance indicators, you help ensure that AI initiatives contribute directly to operational improvements, growth, or efficiency gains.
In addition, you will support investment teams during the evaluation of new investment opportunities by assessing AI capabilities, risks, and opportunities within potential target companies. You will help build a clear view of how AI is currently used, the value it can create, and any potential risks or limitations that should be considered before investment decisions are made.
From an investment perspective, you contribute to value creation and risk management by translating AI insights into actionable recommendations for both deal teams and portfolio company leadership.
While the process may differ slightly for different roles or teams, the same basics apply. Here you can find a general overview of the application process.
You will undergo several in-person interviews, either on the same day or spread over a period of time. The interview process can be rigorous, but it’s also meant to give you the opportunity to get to know us better too and see whether there’s a match on both ends. Depending on the role, we will ask you to conduct a specifically designed case study. This way we can assess your skills and you’ll know what to expect when working at Main. We’ll let you know early on about any additional information and materials you’ll need in order for you to be able to prepare well.
Once your interview process and case study are completed, we’ll review everything. Our decision to hire you is based not only on your aptitude and skills, but also on your potential. At Main we foster a learning-working environment. We strive to create opportunities for our employees to develop and grow, and we look for candidates who demonstrate the same drive and enthusiasm.
