Job summary

Atrium Centers in Grand Haven is seeking an Activity Director to enrich residents' daily lives by creating meaningful experiences that support emotional, social, and physical well-being. You will lead therapeutic recreation programs and coordinate activities across diverse functional levels, working with families and an interdisciplinary team.

If you have CTRS/MTT/AT or RAC certification, strong communication, and a collaborative spirit, you can help us empower residents and uphold our ESOP

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience in an Activities Department within a healthcare setting.
• CTRS, MMT, or AT credential.
• RAC certification and good standing (required if not CTRS, MMT, or AT).
• Willing to obtain certification if not already credentialed.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Positive, dependable, and team-oriented mindset.
• Excellent attendance and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement therapeutic recreation programs tailored to resident needs.
• Facilitate individual and group activities across varied functional levels.
• Complete assessments, care plans, progress notes, and MDS documentation.
• Coordinate special events, community outings, and volunteer involvement.
• Ensure compliance with state, federal, and company regulations.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members and families.
• Support residents’ spiritual, emotional, recreational, leisure, and social needs in group and individual settings.
