Job summary

CWS-boco International GmbH is seeking an Accounting Manager to lead the Netherlands & Belgium accounting team from Eindhoven or Puurs, with regular travel to other sites. The role covers GL, A/R, A/P, payroll, and fixed assets, ensuring compliant and timely financial closes.

You will collaborate with FP&A and Business Control, drive process improvements, and ensure IFRS and BE/NL GAAP compliance across entities. A robust accounting background and leadership experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
• At least 7 years of accounting experience with 3 years in a leadership role.
• Strong BE/NL GAAP knowledge; IFRS experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Accounting team in the Netherlands & Belgium, ensuring accurate and timely closings.
• Own GL accounting, including journals, reconciliations, intercompany, and IFRS adjustments.
• Oversee A/R, A/P, payroll, and fixed assets with strong control environment.
• Coordinate cross-border accounting topics with SSO in Sibiu and German Corporate Accounting.
• Develop and improve accounting policies, internal controls, and ERP processes.

Job description

As the Accounting Manager BNL, you are responsible for leading the Accounting team in the Netherlands & Belgium, consisting of (Senior) Accountants and flexible support staff. Together, you ensure a well‑structured accounting financial administration, a high‑quality GL accounting environment, strong Accounts Payable and Receivable Oversight, an optimized accounts receivable process, and accurate coordination of accounting topics for the various legal entities in both countries.

You will primarily work from our Eindhoven or Puurs office and being close to the business and the team; will travel regularly to our other sites in Eindhoven, Puurs and Heerenveen. You report directly to the CFO of CWS Cleanrooms (DE).

Your responsibilities as Accounting Manager BNL

• Leading the Accounting team — You guide, coach, and develop the team, ensuring a professional and efficient collaboration across BNL.
• Responsible for month‑end and year‑end closing — You ensure timely, complete, and accurate closings and reporting in line with central deadlines.
• Full ownership of GL accounting — You safeguard the integrity of the general ledger, including journal entries, reconciliations, intercompany alignment, and IFRS adjustments.
• Oversight of all accounting activities — Including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll processing, and fixed assets.
• Balance Sheet and P&L monitoring — You analyze and maintain key accounts, identify deviations, and ensure reliable financial reporting.
• Working capital management — You oversee A/R, A/P, and inventory positions and drive optimization.
• Cash planning & treasury activities — Managing cashflow forecasts, banking, payment approvals, cash pooling, and collaboration with Corporate Treasury.
• Close cooperation with FP&A and Business Control — You provide accurate data and insights for forecasting, budgeting, and performance analysis.
• Developing and improving accounting policies — You implement and optimize procedures, internal controls, and compliance frameworks.
• Automation & system optimization — You drive improvements in ERP processes and support digitalization of accounting workflows.
• Compliance with BE/NL GAAP and IFRS — Ensuring correct application of accounting standards and tax regulations.
• Audit coordination — You manage internal and external audits and ensure smooth preparation and follow‑up.
• Cross‑border collaboration — You work closely with our Shared Service Center in Sibiu (Romania) and the Corporate Accounting team in Germany.

What you bring

• A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Economics, or a related field
• At least 7 years of accounting experience, including 3 years in a leadership role (Big 4 experience is a strong plus)
• Excellent GL accounting skills and strong knowledge of BE/NL GAAP; IFRS experience is an advantage
• Experience with ERP/accounting systems (preferably MS Dynamics, Netsuite, SAP) and advanced Excel skills
• Strong operational knowledge of accounting (BE and NL GAAP;IFRS is a plus)
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making abilities
• High level of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail
• Development of good understanding and focus of the business for premium internal and external customer experience
