Job summary

Allianz Benelux is seeking an Accountant Expert for our Brussels office to drive accurate reporting and robust controls within a multi-company environment. You will lead monthly/quarterly closes, supervise annual statements, and participate in process improvement initiatives across Finance and Operations.

You bring 5+ years in Finance/Insurance, a Master’s in Accounting/Economics/Finance, and strong English and Dutch (B2); knowledge of IFRS 17/9, GAAP, and SAP is highly valued.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years in Finance and/or Insurance.
• Master’s degree in Accounting, Economics, or Finance.
• Strong English and Dutch (B2); French is a plus.
• Solid understanding of IFRS 17/9 and GAAP; SAP experience.
• Experience with change management and process improvement.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to monthly and quarterly closing under different accounting GAAPs (Belgium, IFRS 9/17 and Solvency 2).
• Perform key controls (analytical reviews, closing checklist).
• Supervise production of annual financial statements including disclosures, statistical information and qualitative reporting (SFCR, RSR).
• Contribute to continuous improvement and simplification of processes and controls.
• Actively participate in the SimpliFi project (SAP S/4HANA replacement).
• Collaborate daily with Finance and Operations colleagues.
• Develop the use of AI in the organization.
