Job summary

Boston Scientific in the Netherlands seeks an Account Manager Urology to manage hospital accounts from Rotterdam to Kerkrade. You will partner with urologists, nurses, and managers to deliver a superior customer experience and support the Urology portfolio.

You will launch innovative products, enable clinical use, and drive sustainable market growth while coordinating education, product training, and marketing initiatives across hospital teams.

Qualifications

• Some experience in sales, account management, clinical support, or healthcare field.
• HBO qualification in healthcare, life sciences, business, or related discipline.
• Strong Dutch and English communication with healthcare professionals.
• Collaborative, team-oriented approach across functions.

Responsibilities

• Drive sales and customer success in the Urology portfolio across hospital accounts.

About The Role

As Account Manager Urology, you will manage hospital accounts across the Southern Netherlands—from Rotterdam and Nijmegen southwards. You will partner with urologists, operating-room nurses, department managers, biomedical engineers, and other key stakeholders to deliver an excellent customer experience and support the success of Boston Scientific’s Urology portfolio. From launching innovative products to enabling their effective use in clinical practice, your work will directly contribute to sustainable market growth.

What You Will Do

• Drive sales and customer success: Take ownership of the Urology portfolio within your assigned hospital accounts, strengthening customer satisfaction and sustainable business growth.
• Build trusted partnerships: Develop lasting relationships with healthcare professionals, key opinion leaders, and other stakeholders, translating their needs into meaningful solutions.
• Lead strategic account planning: Create, execute, and monitor account plans, using market intelligence, competitive insights, and growth opportunities to inform the wider business strategy.
• Ensure seamless customer support: Maintain proactive communication with current and prospective customers and coordinate product availability, technical support, and inventory requirements.
• Bring the market perspective: Stay close to developments in urology and competitor activity, sharing insights that help shape our commercial approach.
• Provide clinical and technical support: Support urological procedures in the hospital and help customers use Boston Scientific solutions safely, confidently, and effectively.
• Champion education and adoption: Contribute to—and lead—educational events, product training, and marketing initiatives that deepen customer relationships and support product adoption.

What You Bring

• Relevant experience: Some experience in sales, account management, clinical support, or a healthcare-related field. Experience in urology or medical devices is an advantage.
• Education: A higher vocational (HBO) qualification in healthcare, life sciences, business, or a related discipline.
• Communication: Strong Dutch and English communication skills, with the confidence to engage a wide range of healthcare professionals in a hospital environment.
• Commercial mindset: A proactive, curious, and results-oriented approach, combined with a genuine interest in building relationships and creating value for customers.
• Team spirit: A collaborative attitude and the ability to work effectively across functions to achieve the best outcomes for customers and patients.
