Amstelbay is seeking an experienced interim IT Project Manager with strong business process understanding, focusing on Sales and Operations domains. The candidate will bridge business and IT teams, manage end-to-end project delivery, and ensure value realization during the Dynamics 365 transition.
The role requires 5–10+ years leading IT projects, expertise in process optimization, and fluency in Dutch and English.
This project aims to address long-standing business process and technical debt in the Netherlands by moving away from end-of-life SAP and Navision towards a Microsoft Dynamics platform and thereby streamline, simplify and deduplicate operational processes and tools. The project will be executed by stepwise introducing D365 modules for sales and operations in the first phase, followed by replacement of the finance backend. The project started in Q2 2026 and will continue into 2027.
The emphasis is on identifying and prioritizing the most critical business pain points and technical inefficiencies, with the goal of delivering tangible improvements in the short term, while maintaining flexibility for future changes. The D365 platform will be setup adhering to standard, avoiding customization, and striving for reusability across other countries in the organisation.
A dedicated Core Team is established with internal resources: business process owners, business owners, an E2E and integration architect, a business analyst and a Navision application specialist. Configuration and development are done by the Microsoft partners. The program is sponsored by the Headquarter, ensuring strategic alignment with wider business goals.
We are looking for an experienced interim IT Project Manager with strong business process understanding and proven experience within Sales and Operations domains. The Projectmanager will lead business-critical initiatives where process optimization, digital transformation, and IT delivery are closely connected.
The role requires a person who can bridge business and technology teams, understand end-to-end process flows, and drive projects from initiation through implementation while ensuring business value realization.
