We invite applications for the following position to be based at our Ijok Factory, Selangor.

Occupational Safety, Health and Environment Officer

• Advise and instruct on various safety, health & environment related topics
• Conduct risk assessment and enforce preventative measures
• Review existing SHE documentation, implementation and measures and update according to latest legislation
• Initiate and organize SHE training of employees and executives
• Inspect premises and the work of personnel to identify issues or non-conformity
• Oversee installations, maintenance, disposal of substances etc.
• Stop any unsafe acts or processes that seem dangerous or unhealthy
• Record and investigate incidents to determine causes and handle worker’s compensation claims
• Prepare reports on occurrences and provide statistical information to upper management
• Develop, implement and monitor safety, health and environment (SHE) policies, procedures and systems to ensure compliance with relevant legislation and industry best practices
• Conduct risk assessments, audits and inspections to identify and mitigate potential hazards
• Experience in waste management and well versed with Regulated Act
• Maintain good relationships with DOSH, Jabatan Alam Sekitar and other regulators
• Deliver SHE training and awareness programmes to employees at all levels
• Investigate incidents and near-misses, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate SHE considerations into all aspects of the business
• Prepare and submit regulatory reports and maintain accurate SHE records
• Stay up-to-date with relevant SHE legislation, regulations and industry best practices
• Pursue and maintain any relevant certification regarding SHE as required by management

• Proven experience as safety, health & Environment officer
• Knowledge of potentially hazardous materials or practices
• Experience in writing reports and policies for safety, health & Environment
• Familiarity with conducting data analysis and reporting statistics
• Diligent with great attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to present and explain safety, health and environment topics
• Degree or diploma in a relevant field
• Must have Green Book
• Certified Cepswam is an Advantage
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and address SHE risks
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Thorough understanding of relevant SHE legislation and regulations
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Familiar with local and international SHE standards (OHSAS and MS)
• Willing to learn regarding ESG
• Good attendance and attitude
