The role focuses on cost optimization, supply assurance, regulatory compliance, and market-driven procurement strategies to support production and business objectives.
- Manage sourcing and procurement of automotive raw materials, specifically steel and resin.
- Lead price and contract negotiations to achieve cost optimization and risk mitigation.
- Monitor commodity trends, market pricing, and tariff movements to support sourcing strategies.
- Develop and manage supplier base to support centralized raw material procurement.
- Drive supplier performance and cost reduction initiatives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on material trials, certification, and VA/VE activities.
- Assess supply risks and implement mitigation plans to ensure supply continuity.
- Build strong long-term supplier partnerships.
- Manage import duty documentation and regulatory compliance for raw materials.
- Ensure timely renewal and submission of duty-related requirements.
- Liaise with Government and internal stakeholders on regulatory updates.
- Prepare procurement performance, cost saving, and market analysis reports.
- Provide data-driven insights to support sourcing decisions.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, Finance, or equivalent.
- Experience in Procurement / Technical Procurement within the Automotive or Manufacturing industry.
- Experience handling Steel / Resin / Commodity materials is an added advantage.
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Good understanding of market trends and cost structures.
- Able to work in a fast-paced and cross-functional environment.
