Job summary

Hong Leong Bank Berhad in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Workday Specialist to be a key architect of our Workday ecosystem, supporting multiple modules and ensuring system health and project delivery.

You will translate complex business needs into automated Workday solutions, manage configurations, testing, reporting, and collaborate with HR, IT, and vendors to optimize processes and drive value.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience with Workday HRIS and modules such as Core HCM, Compensation, Benefits, Recruiting.
• Proven project management experience; PMP certification is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; able to translate business needs into system solutions.

Responsibilities

• Workday System Administration: day-to-day support, security, reports, data integrity.
• Lead HR technology projects from initiation to closure, including scope, timelines, budgets, and stakeholder communication.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Workday Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be one of the primary architects of our Workday ecosystem, ensuring the platform is optimized to support our growing workforce, working across multiple Workday modules (i.e. HCM, recruitment, advanced compensation etc.). You will bridge the gap between HR strategy and technical execution, managing everything from day-to-day system health to large-scale project implementations.

Key Responsibilities

As our Workday Specialist, your mission involves a blend of technical mastery and strategic project management:

• Workday System Administration: Provide day-to-day support and maintenance of the Workday HCM system, including configuration changes, security administration, report generation, and data integrity management.
• Project Management: Lead and manage HR technology projects, from initiation to closure, including defining scope, developing project plans, managing timelines and budgets, tracking progress, and communicating effectively with stakeholders. This includes projects related to Workday change requests, upgrades, enhancements, and integrations.
• Business Process Analysis: Collaborate with HR stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into system requirements. Analyze existing HR processes and identify opportunities for optimization and automation through Workday.
• Workday Configuration and Testing: Configure and test Workday modules to meet evolving business needs. Develop and execute test plans, identify and resolve issues, and ensure smooth system implementations and upgrades.
• Reporting and Analytics: Develop and maintain complex Workday reports and dashboards to provide HR metrics and insights to management.
• Training and Documentation: Develop and deliver training materials and user documentation for Workday functionality. Provide support to end-users and ensure they are effectively utilizing the system.
• Vendor Management: Liaise with Workday and other vendors to resolve technical issues, manage upgrades, and ensure ongoing system performance.
• Stay Current: Stay up-to-date with the latest Workday features and functionality, and proactively identify opportunities to leverage new capabilities.
• Collaboration: Work closely with other HR team members, IT, and business stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of HR systems and processes.

Skills & Experience We Are Looking For:

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Workday HRIS Specialist, with a strong understanding of various Workday modules (e.g., Core HCM, Compensation, Benefits, Talent Management, Recruiting).
• Proven project management experience, including experience managing HR technology implementations and upgrades. PMP certification is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into system solutions.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively interact with all levels of the organization.
• Experience with Workday reporting and analytics tools.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
• Experience with integrations between Workday and other systems is a plus.
