Job summary

Jora Malaysia is hiring a WordPress backend developer in Bayan Lepas, Penang. You will leverage advanced WordPress backend development, plugin customization, and REST API to build robust e-commerce sites.

The role requires strong PHP/JavaScript skills, MySQL, and experience with WooCommerce. Fresh graduates are welcome, and you will work in a collaborative team, keeping up with evolving web technologies and CMS trends.

Qualifications

• Candidate must possess at least Diploma/Bachelor’s/Professional Degree in Engineering (Computer/Telecommunication), Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent.
• Required skill(s): WordPress backend skill, REST API, MySQL, PHP, JavaScript.
• Advanced level working with WordPress.
• Solid developing skills and expertise in appropriate software/ programming languages.
• Good written and verbal communication skills (English, Bahasa Melayu and Mandarin).

Responsibilities

• Advanced knowledge of WordPress backend development.
• WordPress Plugin customization.
• Good knowledge of WooCommerce logic customization.
• Good knowledge of WordPress REST API.
• Required to build custom hook and custom logic.
• Troubleshoot errors & logic issues.
• Establishing and guiding the website’s architecture.
• Applicant should have a solid understanding of current web development industry trends and content management systems.
