in Malaysia seeks a skilled electrical technician responsible for installation, maintenance, testing and troubleshooting of electrical wiring systems and equipment on site in Putrajaya. You will supervise wiring works per approved drawings, inspect distribution boards, perform insulation resistance and continuity tests, and prepare inspection reports while coordinating with engineers and other site personnel.

Qualifications

• Experience in installation, maintenance, testing and troubleshooting of electrical wiring systems.
• Ability to inspect and maintain distribution boards, switchboards and cables.
• Competent in electrical testing such as insulation resistance and continuity tests.
• Strong commitment to safety regulations and PPE usage.

Responsibilities

• Install, inspect and maintain electrical distribution boards and switchboards.
• Identify and rectify electrical faults to ensure reliable operation.
• Prepare inspection reports and maintain testing records.
• Coordinate with site engineers, technicians and other personnel to meet project timelines.
• Ensure compliance with Suruhanjaya Tenaga and PW4 certification scope.

Job description

Perform installation, maintenance, testing and troubleshooting of electrical wiring systems and equipment.

Supervise and carry out electrical wiring works in accordance with approved drawings and specifications.

Install, inspect and maintain electrical distribution boards, switchboards, cables and electrical accessories.

Conduct electrical testing, including insulation resistance, continuity and polarity tests.

Identify and rectify electrical faults to ensure safe and reliable operation.

Ensure all electrical works comply with applicable safety regulations, standards and procedures.

Monitor and ensure electrical installations are carried out according to project requirements and timelines.

Prepare electrical inspection reports, testing records and maintenance documentation.

Ensure proper use of electrical tools, equipment and personal protective equipment (PPE).

Coordinate with engineers, technicians, contractors and other site personnel on electrical works.

Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance of electrical systems.

Ensure compliance with Suruhanjaya Tenaga requirements and work within the scope of the PW4 competency certification
