BATERIKU (M) SDN. BHD. in Kedah is seeking an EV charging technician to perform wiring, installation and maintenance of EV charging systems at customer sites.

You will inspect sites, install chargers and cables, test functionality, troubleshoot issues and ensure compliance with ST regulations. The role requires PW3 certification, knowledge of three-phase wiring, and ability to read diagrams; travel to sites and Bahasa Malaysia communication are essential.

Formación

• Must hold a valid Wireman PW3 competency certificate recognised by Suruhanjaya Tenaga (ST).
• Knowledge of three-phase electrical wiring, installation and maintenance.
• Ability to read electrical wiring diagrams and technical instructions.
• 1–3 years of electrical installation/maintenance experience.
• Willingness to travel to assigned work locations; valid driving licence.

Responsabilidades

• Perform electrical wiring, installation, maintenance and repair works for EV charging systems.
• Conduct site inspections to assess electrical conditions, wiring requirements and installation suitability.
• Install EV chargers, electrical cables, isolators and related components according to approved specifications.
• Assist in electrical inspections, functional testing and commissioning activities under authorised supervision.
• Identify and troubleshoot electrical issues, faulty wiring, charging interruptions and equipment malfunctions.
• Carry out routine inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure EV charging systems operate safely and efficiently.
• Maintain proper installation records, service reports and technical documentation.
• Ensure all electrical works comply with Suruhanjaya Tenaga (ST) regulations, safety standards and company procedures.
• Provide basic technical assistance and guidance to customers regarding EV charger operations.

About you

Must possess a valid Wireman PW3 competency certificate recognised by Suruhanjaya Tenaga (ST)

Good understanding of three-phase electrical wiring, installation and maintenance

Basic knowledge of electrical troubleshooting, distribution boards and electrical safety procedures

Able to read and understand electrical wiring diagrams and technical instructions

Preferably 1–3 years of working experience in electrical installation, maintenance or related fields

Experience in EV charger installation or maintenance will be an added advantage

Certificate or Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Technology or related field is an advantage

Possess a valid driving licence and be willing to travel to assigned work locations

Able to communicate effectively in Bahasa Malaysia

Responsible, disciplined, safety-conscious and able to work independently or as part of a team
