Job summary

Bateriku.com is expanding its Electrical Unit and seeking qualified Wireman PW3 candidates across Malaysia. This full-time role focuses on EV charger installation, maintenance and repair.

We place technicians in their preferred state where possible, with field assignments nationwide across residential and commercial premises. Expect inspections, testing, commissioning and ongoing technical training.

Qualifications

• Must possess valid Wireman PW3 certificate issued by ST.
• Strong knowledge of single-phase and three-phase electrical systems.
• Experience in electrical wiring, cabling, installation and troubleshooting.
• Able to read and interpret schematics and wiring diagrams.
• 1–3 years of relevant field experience preferred.
• Experience with EV charger installation or maintenance is a plus.
• Certificate or Diploma in Electrical Engineering is advantageous.
• Good knowledge of electrical safety practices and risk assessments.
• Valid driving licence and willingness to travel to customer sites.
• Proficiency in Bahasa Malaysia; basic English is an advantage.
• Willingness to participate in ongoing technical training.

Responsibilities

• Install, inspect, maintain and repair AC EV charging systems.
• Perform pre-installation site inspections and assess electrical conditions.
• Install EV chargers, cables, isolators and protective devices.
• Assist with inspections, testing and commissioning under supervision.
• Troubleshoot faults and charging interruptions; repair as needed.
• Carry out preventive maintenance and routine inspections.
• Prepare installation checklists and service records.
• Ensure compliance with ST regulations, safety standards and SOPs.
• Coordinate with operations and provide basic customer support.

Role Description

Bateriku.com is expanding its Electrical Unit and seeking qualified Wireman (PW3) candidates across Malaysia.

We are targeting 2-3 Wiremen per state to support EV charger installation, maintenance and repair operations.

Candidates will be considered for placement within their preferred state, subject to operational requirements and vacancy availability.

This is a full-time, on-site position involving field assignments across Malaysia, focusing on the installation, inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of Electric Vehicle (EV) charging systems at residential and commercial premises.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform electrical wiring, installation, maintenance and repair works for AC EV charging systems.
• Conduct pre-installation site inspections to assess electrical conditions, distribution boards, wiring requirements and power supply suitability.
• Install EV chargers, electrical cables, isolators, protective devices and related components according to approved technical specifications.
• Assist with electrical inspections, functional testing and commissioning activities under appropriate authorisation and supervision.
• Identify and troubleshoot electrical faults, charging interruptions, damaged wiring and equipment malfunctions.
• Carry out preventive maintenance and routine inspections to ensure safe and reliable EV charger operation.
• Prepare and maintain installation checklists, service reports, maintenance records and technical documentation.
• Ensure compliance with Suruhanjaya Tenaga (ST) regulations, electrical safety standards, manufacturer specifications and company SOPs.
• Coordinate with operations teams and provide basic technical assistance to customers regarding EV charger operations.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid Wireman PW3 competency certificate issued by Suruhanjaya Tenaga (ST).
• Strong foundational knowledge of electrical principles, particularly single-phase and three-phase electrical systems.
• Practical experience in electrical wiring, cabling, installation, maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with electrical distribution boards, protective devices, isolators and basic electrical testing equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams and technical documentation.
• Preferably 1-3 years of relevant experience in electrical installation, maintenance or field service.
• Experience in EV charger installation, preventive maintenance or troubleshooting is an added advantage.
• Certificate or Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Technology or a related discipline is advantageous.
• Good understanding of electrical safety practices, risk assessments and safe isolation procedures.
• Possess a valid driving licence and willingness to travel to assigned customer locations and project sites.
• Good communication skills in Bahasa Malaysia; basic English proficiency is an advantage.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail and ability to work independently or collaboratively.
• Willingness to participate in ongoing technical training and continuous improvement initiatives.
