Job summary

Millford Sdn Bhd seeks a dedicated Wireman / Electrical Technician for industrial electrical installation, control panel wiring, testing and site works on local and overseas projects.

The candidate should have 3+ years of relevant experience, a Professional Certificate in Electrical or PW Wireman, and the ability to read electrical drawings. Willingness to travel locally and overseas is required.

Qualifications

• At least a Professional Certificate in Electrical or PW Wireman certificate.
• Minimum 3 years of working experience in electrical wiring, panel wiring, site installation or related industrial electrical works.
• Practical experience with motor control wiring and installation (DOL, Star-Delta, VFD, PLC).
• Able to read electrical drawings, control diagrams and wiring schematics.
• Good troubleshooting skills for electrical panels, wiring systems and on-site equipment.
• Fluent in Bahasa Malaysia and English.
• Willingness to travel for local outstation and overseas work assignments.
• Own transport and valid driving licence advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Carry out electrical wiring works including cable pulling, cable trunking, conduit installation, and termination.
• Perform electrical control panel wiring, assembly, modification and installation.
• Install, wire, and troubleshoot motor control systems (VFD, PLC wiring).
• Assist engineers in inspection, testing, troubleshooting and rectification of electrical wiring systems and control panels.
• Read and follow electrical diagrams, wiring schematics and control drawings.
• Support site installation, testing, commissioning and maintenance activities.
• Ensure all electrical works comply with project specs, safety regulations and workmanship standards.
• Participate in project work at factory, mill, plant, or customer site as assigned.
• Undertake ad-hoc duties and technical assignments as required.

Job description

Millford Sdn Bhd is seeking a dedicated, hands-on, and responsible Wireman / Electrical Technician to join our growing team.

The candidate will be involved in industrial electrical installation, control panel wiring in low voltage and PLC control, testing and commissioning support, and site technical works for local and overseas projects. We are looking for someone who is technically capable, disciplined, and willing to travel when required.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out electrical wiring works, including cable pulling, cable trunking, conduit installation, and termination.
• Perform electrical control panel wiring, assembly, modification, and installation.
• Install, wire, and troubleshoot motor control systems, including:
• VFD (Variable Frequency Drive) systems
• PLC Wiring Systems
• Assist engineers in inspection, testing, troubleshooting, and rectification of electrical wiring systems and control panels.
• Read, understand, and follow electrical diagrams, wiring schematics, and control drawings.
• Support site installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance activities.
• Ensure all electrical works are carried out in compliance with project specifications, safety regulations, and workmanship standards.
• Participate in project work at factory, mill, plant, or customer site as assigned.
• Undertake ad-hoc duties and technical assignments as required by the company from time to time.

Job Requirements

• Candidate must possess at least a Professional Certificate in Electrical, Wireman certificate (PW), or other relevant engineering qualification.
• Minimum 3 years of working experience in electrical wiring, panel wiring, site installation, or related industrial electrical works will be an added advantage.
• Must have practical experience and knowledge in motor control wiring and installation, especially for DOL, Star-Delta, VFD systems, PLC systems.
• Able to read and understand electrical drawings, control diagrams, and wiring schematics.
• Good troubleshooting skills for electrical panels, wiring systems, and on-site equipment.
• Required language(s): Bahasa Malaysia and English.
• Responsible, disciplined, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Must be willing and able to travel for local outstation and overseas work assignments when required.
• Must be able to work at project sites, including factory and industrial environments.
• Possession of own transport and valid driving licence will be an added advantage.

Additional Requirement

• Must be willing to travel locally and overseas for project installation, service, testing, and commissioning works.
• Outstation work will be entitled to extra allowance, subject to company policy and assignment conditions.
