Job summary

Elsa Talent is seeking an experienced SSHE Specialist to provide support and advice to Well Services teams in Malaysia. The role covers well intervention, workover, completion, testing and P&A, on both rig-based and rigless operations, with emphasis on HOP, BBS and safety culture.

You will coach teams in JMS, JSA, Risk Assessment and PTW, conduct site observations, monitor compliance, and produce SSHE performance reports.

Qualifications

• Minimum Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Science, Engineering or a related discipline.
• At least 8 years of upstream oil and gas experience.
• Minimum 4 years supporting well intervention, workover, well servicing, completion, testing and/or Plug & Abandonment (P&A) operations.
• Experience supporting both rig-based and rigless operations.
• Good knowledge of offshore SSHE requirements, risk assessment, safe work practices and operational safety procedures.
• Strong communication, coaching and coordination skills.

Job description

• Provide SSHE support and advice to Well Services teams on applicable legal, regulatory, company SSHE and operational requirements.
• Support SSHE activities for well intervention, workover, well servicing, completion, well testing and Plug & Abandonment (P&A) operations, covering both rig-based and rigless activities.
• Deliver and support Human and Organizational Performance (HOP) improvement, Behaviour-Based Safety (BBS), Safety Leadership and SSHE culture improvement initiatives at worksites.
• Coach personnel in the preparation and implementation of Job Management System (JMS), Job Safety Analysis (JSA), Risk Assessment and Permit-to-Work (PTW) requirements.
• Conduct worksite observations, inspections and coaching interventions to strengthen hazard identification, risk controls and safe work practices.
• Support Well Supervisors and relevant operational personnel in monitoring SSHE compliance during ongoing operations.
• Prepare SSHE/BBS progress and performance reports and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Provide practical, on-the-job SSHE coaching and facilitate learning from operational observations and identified gaps.
