Job summary

Ultra Clean Technology is seeking an experienced Welding Engineer to lead qualification of welding procedures, oversee NDT, and ensure adherence to ASME, AWS, API standards in oil & gas projects. You will mentor welders and optimize processes for quality and productivity.

The role requires a Diploma/Adv. Diploma or Degree in Engineering Technology with CSWIP or AWS-CWI certification, plus 5+ years in welding engineering and fabrication, preferably for oilfield equipment.

Qualifications

Strong knowledge of TIG and Orbital welding processes and relevant codes.
Experience with welding in oilfield equipment and familiarity with ASME IX, API, NACE standards.
Formal welding qualifications and ability to implement production welding procedures.
Experience in leading and mentoring welders and coordinating welding activities.
Proficient computer skills, especially MS Office and SolidWorks.

Responsibilities

Prepare, manage and coordinate welding procedure qualification and welder qualification tests.
Review supplier welding procedures, processes and documentation.
Ensure compliance with client requirements and applicable codes and standards.
Understand fabrication drawings and NDT symbols and applicable codes.
Record welder qualifications and monitor adherence to code requirements.
Provide mentorship and lead development of systems for delivery of excellence.
Assist Engineering Manager to identify tools and equipment improvements.
Respond to client and vendor technical queries as required.
