Tin City Impact is seeking a Web Development Intern for an on-site role in Kuala Lumpur. You will support web development tasks across front-end and back-end, contribute to client sites, and work under senior developers in a fast-paced agency environment.

Ideal candidates are pursuing or recently completed a CS/IT degree, with basic knowledge of WordPress and Figma, and strong communication skills. This paid internship includes hands-on learning and mentorship.

Qualifications

• Pursuing or recently completed degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field.
• Familiar with web technologies, frameworks, and basic application architecture.
• Strong communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
• Able to learn quickly, pay attention to detail, and follow coding standards and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Support the web team in designing and building user-friendly websites.
• Create wireframes and mockups focusing on usability (Figma).
• Build and update websites using WordPress.
• Maintain client sites by updating content and improving layout/functionality.
• Assist in QA testing and troubleshooting website issues.
• Collaborate with marketing to ensure brand consistency across web assets.
• Job shadow team members and contribute to marketing work.
• Learn about different digital marketing aspects and identify preferred areas.

Role Description

This full-time Web Development Internship role is an on-site position based in WP, Kuala Lumpur. The intern will support the development and maintenance of client websites, assisting with both front-end and back-end tasks under the guidance of experienced developers. Daily responsibilities may include coding and testing web features, updating content, troubleshooting technical issues, and collaborating with designers and strategists to ensure sites align with branding and campaign goals. The role also involves participating in team meetings, documenting work, and learning best practices in modern web development within a fast-paced agency environment.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess core Web Development skills, including familiarity with web technologies, frameworks, and basic application architecture.
• Candidates should possess Back-End Web Development skills, including an understanding of server-side languages, databases, and APIs.
• Candidates should possess strong Communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams and presenting ideas clearly.
• Ability to learn quickly, pay attention to detail, and follow coding standards and documentation practices.
• Basic understanding of SEO, user experience, or digital marketing concepts is an added advantage.
• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree or relevant program in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Eligibility to work on-site in WP, Kuala Lumpur and commitment to a full-time internship schedule.
