Job summary

Randstad Malaysia seeks a hands-on Test/Process Technician for our electronics manufacturing operations in Malaysia. You will blend wave soldering expertise with technical diagnostics to support daily production, drive yield improvements, and maintain high visual quality standards on the assembly line.

The role requires 2–3 years of experience in electronics manufacturing, ability to read schematics, and competence with diagnostic tools.

Qualifications

2–3 years as Test or Process Technician in electronics manufacturing.
Experience in electronic testing, troubleshooting, and component repair.
Able to read electrical schematics and change notices using standard diagnostic equipment.
Good communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia; able to work autonomously.
Able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

Set up, monitor, and optimize wave soldering equipment (conveyor speeds, preheat, flux, solder pot).
Create and maintain process documentation, including work instructions and solder profiles.
Troubleshoot process issues per IPC-A-610 and implement fixes.
Read schematics to diagnose and repair high‑value electronic assemblies.
Support yield improvements and line troubleshooting to minimize downtime.
Maintain ESD‑safe working conditions and handle sensitive components.
