Job summary

Nexperia is seeking a Water System Owner to lead the operation, reliability, and regulatory compliance of the site's RODI and WWTP systems. You will supervise technicians and collaborate with manufacturing, facilities, and authorities to ensure continuous water quality for production.

The role requires a chemical/engineering degree, 5+ years in water treatment, and strong leadership, PLC/SCADA know-how, and problem-solving abilities to drive improvements and cost optimization.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering field.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in water treatment/utilities/facilities.
  • Experience with RODI, RO, IX/DI and WWTP operations.
  • Ability to interpret PFDs and P&IDs.
  • Experience with PLC, SCADA and automation control systems.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of environmental, health, safety and regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and CAD tools.
  • CePIETSO-PCP and/or CePSWaM would be an added advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of technicians responsible for RODI and WWTP systems.
  • Ensure reliable operation and maintenance of water treatment systems and related equipment.
  • Manage system capacity, upgrades, and improvements for manufacturing needs.
  • Drive reliability, safety and cost optimization initiatives.
  • Develop and execute preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
  • Monitor and optimize system performance for water quality and efficiency.
  • Establish SOPs, maintenance standards, and monitoring practices.
  • Lead troubleshooting and root cause analyses.
  • Coordinate with contractors, authorities and internal stakeholders.
  • Manage water-related projects and major shutdowns.
  • Coordinate with contractors, consultants, government authorities, and internal stakeholders.
  • Manage water treatment-related projects and major shutdown activities.
  • Provide emergency and after-hours support when required.

Job description

The Water System Owner is responsible for the overall operation, reliability, maintenance, and regulatory compliance of the site's RODI (Reverse Osmosis Deionized Water) and Wastewater Treatment Systems. This role will lead a team of technicians and work closely with manufacturing, facilities, contractors, and regulatory bodies to ensure uninterrupted supply of high-quality water and effective wastewater treatment in support of production operations.

What You Need To Have
  • Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Science Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Water Treatment, Wastewater Treatment, Utilities, or Facilities Engineering.
  • Strong knowledge of RODI, Reverse Osmosis (RO), Ion Exchange (IX/DI), and Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) operations.
  • Experience in water treatment system design, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
  • Ability to interpret Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) and Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs).
  • Experience with PLC, SCADA, and automation control systems.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of environmental, health, safety, and regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.
  • CePIETSO-PCP and/or CePSWaM certification will be an added advantage.
