Job summary

Flex is seeking a Warehouse Manager in Prai, Penang, to lead receiving, warehousing and distribution activities. The role requires directing staff, implementing effective processes, and ensuring security and inventory control to meet operational targets.

The ideal candidate has a minimum of 8 years in production control and planning with supervisory experience and strong people management skills, to drive efficiency and cost control across the supply chain.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• Requires minimum of 8 years progressive responsibility in production control and planning or related area, including supervision.
• Demonstrates basic people and/or process management skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintains receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures.
• Ensures compliance with local warehousing, material handling, and shipping requirements by reviewing legislation and enforcing actions.
• Safeguards warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols.
• Controls inventory levels by conducting physical counts and reconciling with data storage system.
• Maintains warehouse facilities by planning layouts, inspecting equipment, and coordinating repairs and replacements.
• Supports financial objectives by assisting in budget preparation and monitoring expenditures.

Job Summary

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Warehouse Manager located in Prai, Penang. The Warehouse Manager role in charge of implementing a successful operation by managing all distribution, warehouse functions. Provides materials, equipment, and supplies by directing receiving, warehousing, and distribution services, supervising staff.

What a typical day looks like

• Maintains receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures.
• Complies with local warehousing, material handling, and shipping requirements by studying existing and new legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions.
• Safeguards warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols.
• Controls inventory levels by conducting physical counts; reconciling with data storage system.
• Maintains physical condition of warehouse by planning and implementing new design layouts; inspecting equipment; issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement.
• Achieves financial objectives by preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.
• Monitors volume of business and defines appropriate work schedule.
• Sets productivity and establishes necessary controls to ensure objectives are met.
• Monitors condition and maintenance of operating / material handling equipment.
• Constantly monitors the efficient handling of shipments and receipts to create an error free culture.
• Reviews the loading and unloading schedules to maximize efficiencies and reduce expenses.
• Coordinate floor cycle counts, physical inventory, and reconciling records.
