Job summary

Oriental Sunrise Engineering Sdn. Bhd is seeking a Storekeeper to manage receiving, checking, storing, issuing, and controlling materials at the warehouse or project site.

The role requires Chinese language proficiency to assist communication with Chinese-speaking management and personnel. The successful candidate will maintain inventory records, prevent unauthorized issuance, and ensure the store is organized.

Qualifications

• Must be able to speak, read, and write Chinese.
• Able to communicate in Bahasa Malaysia and/or English.
• Good numerical and record-keeping skills.
• Basic computer skills, particularly Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Experience using inventory or warehouse management software is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Receive materials, equipment, tools, spare parts, and other goods delivered to the warehouse or project site
• Check delivered items against Purchase Orders (PO), Delivery Orders (DO), invoices, or other relevant documents
• Verify quantities, descriptions, specifications, sizes, and conditions of delivered materials
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records and record all incoming and outgoing materials promptly
• Conduct regular stock counts and physical inventory checks and reconcile physical stock against inventory records
• Issue materials, tools, equipment, and consumables only upon proper authorization
• Arrange materials systematically according to type, size, specification, project, or other suitable classification
• Maintain records of tools and equipment issued to workers, supervisors, and subcontractors and track their return
• Coordinate with Procurement, Project, Construction, QA/QC, and Administration departments regarding material requirements
