Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a forklift operator to handle loading, unloading, and movement of materials within the plant and warehouse. You will receive and store incoming goods, prepare materials per slips, and ensure accurate identification and documentation.

The role requires reading delivery documents, maintaining safety standards, and supporting inventory verifications. Overtime, weekend or shift work may be required as needed.

Qualifications

• Able to operate forklift safely and competently.
• Able to read and understand pick slips, delivery documents, product labels and batch numbers.
• Basic knowledge of warehouse safety, material handling and housekeeping.
• Willing to work overtime, weekends or shift work when required.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklift to load, unload and move materials within plant and warehouse.
• Receive and store incoming raw materials and packaging materials at designated locations.
• Pick and prepare materials or finished goods according to approved slips.
• Load/unload trucks and containers safely and correctly.
• Verify materials, batch numbers and quantities against documents before loading.
• Maintain records and assist in stock counts and inventory verification.
• Support production and other departments in material movement when required.

Operate forklift safely for loading, unloading and movement of materials within the plant and warehouse

Receive incoming raw materials, packaging materials and other goods and place them at the designated storage location

Pick and prepare materials or finished goods according to approved pick slips or relevant warehouse documents

Load and unload trucks, containers and other vehicles safely and correctly

Ensure materials and finished goods are properly identified, arranged and stored at designated locations

Check condition of materials, packaging and pallets during handling and report any damage or abnormality

Maintain good housekeeping and safe working conditions in warehouse, loading areas and material storage areas

Verify physical product, batch number and quantity against the approved pick slip or delivery document before loading.

Perform routine forklift per-use inspection and report any defect or maintenance requirement.

Maintain relevant warehouse records and ensure required documents are properly completed

Support stock counting and physical inventory verification and report any stock discrepancy

Support production and other departments in material movement when required

Able to react to change productively and handle other essential tasks as assigned

Requirements :

Able to operate forklift safely and competently

Able to handle loading, unloading, stacking and movement of drums, IBCs, pallets and other materials

Able to read and understand pick slips, delivery documents, product labels, batch numbers and warehouse records

Able to identify materials correctly and verify product, batch number and quantity before loading or movement

Basic knowledge of warehouse safety, material handling and housekeeping requirements

Able to perform basic forklift per-use inspection and identify obvious defects or unsafe conditions

Able to perform physical work including manual handling when required

Willing to work overtime, weekends or shift work when required

Pre-requirements :

oEducation : SPM or equivalent qualification. Certificate related to warehouse operations, logistics or material handling is an advantage.

oWork Experience : Minimum 1 to 2 years of experience in warehouse, logistics, material handling or forklift operation. Experience in chemical or manufacturing industry is an advantage.
