Service Duties
- Greet guests warmly and assist in seating when needed.
- Take orders accurately and clarify menu items or special requests.
- Serve food and beverages according to Barkar KL’s service standards.
- Clear tables promptly and reset them for the next guest.
- Assist with presenting bills and processing payments when assigned.
Service Support & Teamwork
- Assist Service Captains and Supervisors in daily operations.
- Ensure all stations are fully stocked with cutlery, glassware, condiments, and service tools.
- Support teammates during peak hours by helping serve, clear, or expedite orders.
- Follow instructions promptly and communicate clearly with the kitchen, bar, and front of-house teams.
- Maintain a clean workstation and follow all hygiene and sanitation standards.
- Keep menus, tables, and service equipment clean and orderly.
- Practice safe and proper handling of food and drinks at all times.
- Report any cleanliness or safety issues to the Captain or Supervisor.
Product Knowledge & Upselling
- Learn menu items, ingredients, and beverage offerings to assist guests confidently.
- Apply suggestive selling techniques to promote signature dishes and beverages.
- Stay updated on daily specials and unavailable items.
Equipment & Station Maintenance
- Handle all service equipment (trays, POS device, glassware, etc.) safely and responsibly.
- Report damaged or malfunctioning equipment promptly.
- Ensure stations are stocked before, during, and after service.
- Arrive on time and maintain proper grooming according to Barkar KL’s standards.
- Uphold a positive attitude and professional behaviour throughout service.
- Follow all SOPs, policies, and instructions from senior team members.
Closing Duties
- Assist in clearing and cleaning the dining area at the end of the shift.
- Help reset the restaurant for the next day, including arranging tables, refilling stations, and sanitizing areas.
Ad hoc Task
- Assist with special events, catering, or promotional activities as requested.
- Support the team with any ad hoc tasks and special assignments as needed to ensure smooth operations and guest satisfaction.
