Service Duties
  • Greet guests warmly and assist in seating when needed.
  • Take orders accurately and clarify menu items or special requests.
  • Serve food and beverages according to Barkar KL’s service standards.
  • Clear tables promptly and reset them for the next guest.
  • Assist with presenting bills and processing payments when assigned.
Service Support & Teamwork
  • Assist Service Captains and Supervisors in daily operations.
  • Ensure all stations are fully stocked with cutlery, glassware, condiments, and service tools.
  • Support teammates during peak hours by helping serve, clear, or expedite orders.
  • Follow instructions promptly and communicate clearly with the kitchen, bar, and front of-house teams.
  • Maintain a clean workstation and follow all hygiene and sanitation standards.
  • Keep menus, tables, and service equipment clean and orderly.
  • Practice safe and proper handling of food and drinks at all times.
  • Report any cleanliness or safety issues to the Captain or Supervisor.
Product Knowledge & Upselling
  • Learn menu items, ingredients, and beverage offerings to assist guests confidently.
  • Apply suggestive selling techniques to promote signature dishes and beverages.
  • Stay updated on daily specials and unavailable items.
Equipment & Station Maintenance
  • Handle all service equipment (trays, POS device, glassware, etc.) safely and responsibly.
  • Report damaged or malfunctioning equipment promptly.
  • Ensure stations are stocked before, during, and after service.
  • Arrive on time and maintain proper grooming according to Barkar KL’s standards.
  • Uphold a positive attitude and professional behaviour throughout service.
  • Follow all SOPs, policies, and instructions from senior team members.
Closing Duties
  • Assist in clearing and cleaning the dining area at the end of the shift.
  • Help reset the restaurant for the next day, including arranging tables, refilling stations, and sanitizing areas.
Ad hoc Task
  • Assist with special events, catering, or promotional activities as requested.
  • Support the team with any ad hoc tasks and special assignments as needed to ensure smooth operations and guest satisfaction.
