Job summary

TPGR SDN BHD in Malaysia is seeking a restaurant service associate to deliver efficient guest service, take orders, and coordinate with kitchen and bar to ensure timely meals and beverages.

You must know the menu, perform mise-en-place, handle guest needs and minor complaints, promote specials, and maintain cleanliness and hygiene to uphold a high standard of hospitality. Flexibility for shift work and teamwork are required.

Responsibilities

• Know menu items and service procedures; greet and direct customers to tables.
• Perform mise-en-place and table setting to standard.
• Polish silverware and chinaware; ensure linen is clean.
• Take orders politely and record accurately.
• Deliver captain orders to bar/kitchen and follow up on prep time.
• Serve food and beverages to customers in a timely manner.
• Handle minor complaints and escalate major issues to supervisor.
• Clear used plates and refill water as needed.

1. Provide Efficient Service to Customers.

• To have thorough knowledge of all menu items and service procedure.
• Perform table setting in accordance with established standard.
• Ensure silverware, chinaware is polished and linen is in good condition.
• Perform mis-en-place before service.
• Welcoming, greet and direct customer to the designated table.
• Promote special promotion food & beverages to customer.
• Take food and beverage order from customers/guests politely and record down in orderly manner on the
• captain order.
• Deliver the captain order to bar and kitchen, follow up within the preparation time.
• Serve the customers/guests with the prepared foods and beverages.
• Handle any minor complaint and forward major complaint to immediate superior for further action.
• Ensure all customers/guests are being served accordingly and timely.
• Clear the used plate and refill drinking water from time to time when needed.

2. Others

• Learn menu items and daily specialties and seasonal food, including beverages.
• Participate in the daily work schedules and mise-en-place.
• Perform other relevant duties as assigned by the Management from time to time.
