Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a Network Security Engineer to join our security team. You will manage day-to-day operations of WAF/API protection (WAAP) and DDoS mitigation, collaborating with the Frankfurt/Kelsterbach data center teams and vendors.

The role emphasizes hands-on technical work across multi-hybrid cloud environments, WAF rule creation, threat mitigation, and incident handling. English/German language skills are a plus, with EMEA hours required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS or related field.
• Strong knowledge of WAF and DDoS protection.
• Familiarity with OWASP Top 10.
• Experience with SIEM and logging.
• Ability to work in Agile teams.
• Willingness to travel and work in EMEA hours.

Responsibilities

• Provide 2nd level security network support for Frankfurt/Kelsterbach Datacenter.
• Very good experience with WAF, management environments including reporting and monitoring.
• Configure, deploy, and maintain the WAF solution with API protection onPrem or in multi-cloud.
• Creation of WAF rules, signatures to mitigate threats and implements best practices.
• Excellent understanding of DDoS protection, manage strategies for mitigating DDoS attacks.
• Handle Requests, Incidents, Changes and Problems in production security network environment.
• Participate in weekends, public holiday and on-call support when required.
• Contribute as an effective team player in an agile team.
