Job summary

Sunway Multicare Pharmacy in Malaysia is seeking a skilled Visual Merchandiser to manage product displays and promotional setups across our retail outlets in Selangor. You will work with the Visual Merchandising team to optimize zoning, planograms, and brand spaces to maximize visibility and sales.

Regular store visits, coordination with Outlet Operations and Marketing, and seamless execution of campaigns are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Business, Marketing, Retail Management or related field.
• 3–5 years in merchandising/retail preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; Photoshop/Illustrator an advantage.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage visual merchandising across retail outlets and ensure brand displays.

Job Summary

This role is responsible for managing visual merchandising and product presentation across retail outlets, including store assessments, product displays, promotional launches, merchandising coordination, and outlet visits, to maximise product visibility, merchandising standards, and sales opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

Store Visual Merchandising/Merchandising & Assessment

• Work closely with Visual Merchandising team to develop product zoning and optimize display areas by enhancing brand corners, display zones, planogram and other dedicated brand spaces at key outlets.
• Oversee product displays to ensure high visibility and commercial effectiveness based on sales performance and seasonal requirements.
• Conduct regular store checks to ensure merchandising standards and promotional launches are executed according to company intentions and always in good condition.
• Provide feedback on customer preferences and store merchandising conditions.
• Work closely with the Outlet Operations team to improve product presentation to maximise sales opportunities.

Promotion, New Product Launches & Events

• Support the implementation of promotional campaigns, seasonal campaigns and new product launches during events, e.g. store openings and roadshow events.
• Support marketing to ensure promotional products, POSMs displays (Price Tag), signage and merchandising materials are properly prepared, arranged and maintained.
• Coordinate with relevant departments to ensure products and promotional materials are available before campaign commencement.
• Ensure stores follow the Company's merchandising guidelines during promotional periods, events and new product launches.
• Conduct store checks and follow up on any merchandising issues identified during campaigns.

Store Visit and Coordination

• Conduct regular visits to assigned retail stores to monitor merchandising standards & conditions, product presentation and stock availability.
• Communicate merchandising instructions clearly to Outlet Managers, Supervisors and retail staff.
• Follow up on merchandising issues and ensure corrective actions are implemented within the required timeframe.
• Coordinate/liaise with Outlet Operations, Warehouse, Procurement, Marketing and other relevant departments to ensure smooth merchandising operations.
• Provide regular feedback to VM and Marketing on store conditions, product performance, stock issues and merchandising activities.
• Ensure all assigned stores comply with the Company's merchandising standards, promotional requirements and operational instructions.
• Perform any other duties and responsibilities assigned by Management from time to time.

Job Requirements:

• Minimum Bachelor Degree in Business, Marketing, Retail Management, or related fields.
• Minimum 3-5 years of relevant working experience in merchandising and retail is preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Proficiency in Photoshop & Illustrator will be an added advantage.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with retail partners and with cross-functional teams.
• Strong observation and execution skills with a good eye for product display and merchandising.
• Proactive, responsible and results-oriented, with the ability to work independently.
• Possess own vehicle and be willing to travel for work-related purposes.
• Comfortable with frequent travel and visiting retail outlets within the assigned territory.
