Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a research engineer to conduct R&D in machine vision and vision AI, designing and implementing vision algorithms for automation, inspection and AI applications. Develop vision-based solutions and integrations with cameras, lighting, and optics.

Collaborate with software, hardware and mechanical engineers, and prepare technical reports detailing outcomes. Fresh graduates considered; 1–2 years experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or postgraduate in Engineering (Electrical/Electronic) or Computer Science / IT.
• 1–2 years of working experience in the related field.
• Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
• Experience in R&D related to computer vision or image processing is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct research and development in machine vision and vision AI technology.
• Design and implement vision algorithms such as image processing, pattern recognition, and object detection.
• Develop vision-based solutions for automation, inspection and AI applications.
• Integrations with hardware systems such as cameras, lighting, and optics.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including software, hardware, and mechanical engineers.
• Prepare technical reports, documentation, and publications of research outcomes.
• Stay updated with the latest research, tools, and technologies in computer vision and AI.
• Support prototyping, trials, and customer evaluations of vision-based systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to vision algorithms and systems.
