Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Video Editor (Mandarin Speaker) role based in WP, Kuala Lumpur. The Video Editor will be responsible for editing event-related video content, including promotional clips, highlight reels, social media videos, and client presentations. Daily tasks include organizing and managing raw footage, trimming and assembling clips, adding graphics, subtitles (including Mandarin), music, and sound effects, and ensuring videos meet brand guidelines and client expectations. The role involves close collaboration with event planners, designers, and marketing team members to align video content with event concepts and timelines. The Video Editor will also help optimize videos for different platforms and formats, maintain an organized media library, and participate in pre- and post-event content planning.

Qualifications

• Strong video editing skills using industry-standard software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, After Effects or similar tools).
• Ability to create and integrate motion graphics, simple animations, and visual effects appropriate for event and marketing content.
• Proficiency in Mandarin and English, including the ability to edit and create subtitles and on-screen text accurately.
• Understanding of sound design, basic audio editing, and music synchronization to enhance video quality.
• Knowledge of social media and digital platforms, including best practices for video formats, aspect ratios, and content optimization.
• Strong attention to detail, time management skills, and the ability to work under tight deadlines in a fast-paced event environment.
• Collaborative mindset with good communication skills and the ability to take feedback and translate it into clear editing revisions.
• Relevant education or training in film, multimedia, communications, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience in event, marketing, or live production video editing is an advantage.
