AI tools write a lot of the code here. It is often called vibe coding. That changes the job rather than removing it. The work is deciding what to build, steering the tool towards it, and catching the confident wrong answer before a client sees it.
Most of the week is client sites in Next.js and WordPress. The rest is small internal tools that save the team hours, which nobody else is going to build.
This role is open on a rolling basis, so applications are read as they arrive rather than after a closing date.
Next.js, React, TypeScript, WordPress, Tailwind CSS, Git, Claude Code, Vercel. The licences and subscriptions the job needs are paid for, and knowing every one of these already is not expected.

The vibe coder role is mainly front-end, with the back-end work a marketing site needs: forms, API routes, integrations and occasional WordPress plugin changes.
Some of the work involves existing code because clients arrive with sites built by other teams. You are expected to repair sound work rather than rebuild by default.
A normal week usually covers two or three client jobs. The work is often a page build, a repair or one small feature. Each job still needs code review and testing before it reaches the client.
The designer or project coordinator provides the brief, while you make the technical decisions. That division gives you ownership of the technical choices within the work requested, with the brief defining what the project needs you to build.
A strong application includes a link to something live that you can explain clearly. Describe the constraint you faced, the choice you made and what you would change now, so the example shows both the finished work and your thinking behind it.
