Job summary

Avinity Analytics is seeking a hands-on full-stack engineer to build data-driven solutions for consumer brands using TypeScript, React and Next.js, from database design to UI.

You will use AI coding agents daily, integrate LLM features, and manage model APIs while keeping data secure. Design PostgreSQL schemas, validate input, and deploy to the cloud with automated tests. Strong problem-solving and clear written English are essential.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience shown through projects
• Experience with React (Next.js a plus) and at least one backend: Node.js, PHP/Laravel or Python
• Good SQL and relational database design (PostgreSQL or MySQL)
• Experience with REST APIs and authentication
• Comfortable with Git and pull request workflows
• Use AI coding tools regularly, and can tell when their output is wrong
• Have built at least one project (work, study or personal) that calls an LLM API
• Clear written English, since you'll write prompts, PR descriptions and notes for non-technical colleagues
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills

Responsibilities

• Build LLM features into our products, such as Q&A over client data, report and document summaries, structured data extraction, and AI-assisted research
• Write the prompts, tool definitions and structured outputs behind those features, and test them against real examples so the answers stay accurate
• Integrate model APIs (Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, or gateways like OpenRouter) and manage cost, speed, rate limits and failures
• Design PostgreSQL schemas and queries, and keep data access secure with proper authentication, permissions and input validation
• Handle client data with care: keep API keys out of code, and keep sensitive data out of prompts and logs
• Write automated tests, debug issues anywhere in the stack, and deploy to the cloud
• Try new models and tools on real tasks and share with the team what works and what doesn't
