Job summary

Maybank seeks a mid-level UX/UI Specialist to shape user experiences across our digital products. You will design intuitive interfaces, run user research, and collaborate with product and engineering teams to implement the design vision.

You will contribute to design thinking sessions, help evolve design systems, and translate insights into actionable UI decisions, while staying current with industry trends.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent required.
• 2–5 years UX/UI design experience with a strong portfolio.
• Proficiency in Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD or similar.
• Strong understanding of user-centered design principles.
• Experience with user research and usability testing.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to balance multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Knowledge of front-end technologies is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct user research and gather insights to inform design decisions.
• Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs for web and mobile apps.
• Collaborate with product managers, developers, and stakeholders to ensure the design vision is executed.
• Lead or participate in design thinking workshops to generate human-centered ideas.
• Utilize and improve design systems and style guides for consistency.
• Conduct usability testing and analyze feedback to refine designs.
• Stay updated with UI/UX trends, best practices, and new tech.
• Advocate for user-centric design principles within the org.
• Participate in Agile processes, including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
