Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a skilled UI/UX Designer to transform complex requirements into intuitive digital experiences for web and mobile apps. You will conduct user research, craft personas and journeys, and translate insights into wireframes and high-fidelity visuals.

You'll collaborate with product owners, developers, and analysts in an Agile environment, ensure responsive, accessible designs, and contribute to design systems and handoffs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Multimedia, HCI, Design or related field.
• 2–5 years of UI/UX design experience for web/mobile/enterprise apps.
• Proficiency in Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch; prototyping and design handoff.

Responsibilities

• Conduct user research, stakeholder interviews and requirement analysis to understand business objectives, user needs, workflows and pain points.
• Create user personas, customer journeys, user flows, process maps and information architecture to support evidence-based product design decisions.
• Translate complex business requirements into practical, intuitive and user-friendly digital experiences for web and mobile applications.
• Develop wireframes, mock-ups, interactive prototypes and high-fidelity designs using industry-standard tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch or similar platforms.
• Design visually consistent user interfaces, including layouts, typography, colour usage, icons, UI components and visual assets aligned with brand and design standards.
• Ensure responsive design across desktop, tablet and mobile screen sizes while maintaining usability, accessibility and visual consistency.
• Plan and conduct usability testing sessions, analyse user feedback and identify opportunities to improve user experience and product usability.
• Iterate design solutions based on testing outcomes, stakeholder feedback, analytics, technical feasibility and evolving business requirements.
• Work closely with product owners, business analysts, software developers and stakeholders throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Collaborate with development teams to ensure accurate implementation of design specifications, interaction behaviours and visual components.
• Participate in workshops, brainstorming sessions, sprint planning, design reviews and product discussions to support agile delivery.
• Communicate design concepts, user insights and design rationale clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Contribute to the development and maintenance of design systems, UI component libraries, style guides and reusable design assets.
• Promote user-centred design, accessibility standards and design best practices across product teams.
• Stay current with emerging UI/UX trends, digital product practices, design tools and technologies, and recommend improvements to enhance customer experience.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Multimedia, Human-Computer Interaction, Design or a related field.

Experience

• 2 to 5 years of experience in UI/UX design for web, mobile, enterprise, SaaS, customer-facing or business applications.
• Proven experience creating wireframes, prototypes, user flows, journey maps, information architecture and high-fidelity visual designs.
• Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch or similar platforms, including prototyping and component-based design.
• Strong understanding of user-centred design, usability principles, accessibility standards and responsive design across devices.
• Experience working with product owners, business analysts, developers and stakeholders in Agile or Scrum delivery environments is desirable.
• Familiarity with HTML, CSS, modern front-end technologies, design handoff processes and design system documentation is an advantage.
