Job summary

Atlas Copco Malaysia seeks an Application & Project Engineer to support our Oil‑Free Air team. You will coordinate with Sales, Procurement and Product Companies to ensure successful execution of engineered and turnkey projects across Malaysia, Singapore, Brunei, Sri Lanka and beyond.

The role involves detailed costing, scheduling, and on‑site project support from concept to final delivery. You will contribute to high‑quality solutions, manage variations and change orders, and participate in risk

Qualifications

• Proven experience in the application engineering and project management of compressed air systems in large industrial sectors.
• Familiarity with Atlas Copco equipment is a distinct advantage.
• Experience coordinating with Sales, Procurement and cross-functional teams.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, budgets, and delivery schedules.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Sales to review enquiries and prepare scope summaries.
• Issue RFQs to vendors via IC3 and approved external suppliers.
• Work with Product Companies to ensure timely, competitive proposals.
• Develop project costing summaries and commercial evaluations.
• Ensure timely order processing and PN availability for order booking.
• Manage project execution to meet delivery schedules and contractual requirements.
• Provide engineering support throughout the project lifecycle, from concept to delivery.
• Lead the design and engineering execution of turnkey installations.
• Track variations, change orders and claims from customers and Product Companies.
• Monitor project schedules and budgets, highlighting risks and corrective actions.
• Maintain clear communication with customers, suppliers, factories and stakeholders.
