Job summary

Atlas Copco in Malaysia is seeking an Application & Project Engineer to support engineered and turnkey projects across Malaysia, Singapore, Brunei, Sri Lanka, and Mongolia. You will prepare scope summaries, issue RFQs, and coordinate with factories to ensure timely delivery and competitive pricing.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in application engineering and project management for engineered packages.
• Strong knowledge of compressed air technologies and system design.
• Experience with large industrial projects in oil & gas is a plus.
• Familiarity with procurement processes and RFQs.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Sales to review enquiries and prepare scope summaries.
• Issue RFQs to vendors and coordinate with Procurement.
• Work with Product Companies to ensure timely proposals and competitive pricing.
• Support technical bid clarifications and respond to technical queries.
• Develop project costing summaries and commercial evaluations.
• Manage order processing and coordinate with factories for Part Numbers.
• Oversee project execution to meet delivery schedules and specifications.
• Coordinate with Project Engineers to prepare contract-compliant documentation.
• Provide engineering support through lifecycle from design to delivery.
• Lead turnkey project installations and review changes.
• Develop project schedules and monitor milestones.
• Monitor budgets and drive profitability while maintaining quality.
• Support KOMs, HAZOPs, and design reviews to mitigate risks.
• Provide regular project status updates and maintain data in systems.
• Track stage payments, invoicing, and cash flow.
• Identify delays and risks and implement corrective actions.
• Foster cross-functional collaboration with customers, suppliers, and stakeholders.
