Job summary

Technip Energies in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia is seeking an Estimating Engineer to join our team. You will develop cost estimates for EPCC proposals, maintain price sheets, and support benchmarking with a strong focus on accuracy and process improvement.

The ideal candidate has 1–2 years of estimating experience in oil and gas (onshore/offshore) and familiarity with estimation principles and tools, plus good communication to coordinate with multiple departments and external partners.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years’ experience in Estimating in Oil & Gas (Onshore/Offshore). Experience with Design, EPC projects or proposals.

Responsibilities

• Develop reliable cost estimates for the overall EPCC project/proposal scope.
• Prepare cost estimate services, equipment, construction and sub-contracted services based on technical specs and BOMs; collaborate with Procurement for tender information.
• Review estimates for completeness and benchmarking; maintain executive price sheet and commercial tables.
• Contribute to updating estimating methods, procedures, benchmarks, database and tools.

About The Job

Responsible to maintain the price sheet and to prepare the commercial tables on Design proposals, EPC proposals and project Cost Estimates. Ability on multi-task and handle complete detailed work with high level of autonomy. Support the improvement of estimating methods, processes, benchmarks, database and tools

• Develop reliable Cost Estimates for the overall EPCC project / proposal scope.
• Preparation of cost estimate services, equipment, construction and other sub-contracted services based onthe technical specifications and bills of materials provided, and collaborate with the Procurement Department when tender and cost information is required from suppliers and sub-contractors
• Review estimates for completeness and ensure relevant benchmarking exercises have been performed
• Prepare and maintain the executive price sheet and the commercial tables.
• Actively contribute to the update of the Estimating methods, procedures, processes, benchmarks, database and tools.

About you:

• Must have : 1 to 2 years’ experience in Estimating in the Oil and Gas Industry on the Onshore and/or Offshore Segment. Experience working for Oil & Gas contractor(s) on Design projects, EPC projects and/or proposals.
• Nice to have : Familiar with Cost Estimating principles, techniques and industry standard tools. Good communication and inter-personal skills for an efficient coordination with other Departments, other centers and Third Parties. Good team player, self-driven and good in numbers
