Job summary

MetaComp is seeking a hands-on Trade Ops reconciliation professional in Kuala Lumpur to manage daily cash reconciliations, bank ledgers, and treasury activities. You will support cash flow forecasting, payment operations, and liquidity planning while partnering with Banks and internal teams to resolve issues.

The role emphasizes automation, data integrity, and process improvements to reduce manual work and risk.

Qualifications

• Experience in bank or internal ledger reconciliations is preferred.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Familiarity with treasury operations and cash management would be beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily and periodic reconciliations across bank accounts, internal ledgers, payment records, and counterparties; investigate and resolve discrepancies promptly.
• Monitor daily cash positions and movements across bank accounts and entities, ensuring sufficient liquidity to meet operational and settlement requirements.
• Support treasury activities including cash transfers, bank payments, account management, and maintenance of banking records and mandates.
• Prepare cash flow forecasts, treasury reports, and other management information to support liquidity planning and decision‑making.
• Coordinate with banks, payment providers, counterparties, and internal teams to resolve payment issues, reconciliation breaks, and other operational exceptions.
• Support month‑end and period‑end closing activities, ensuring cash and treasury‑related balances are complete, accurate, and properly supported.
• Review and enhance existing reconciliation processes and systems, with a focus on improving automation, data integrity, exception management, and operational efficiency.
• Work closely with Finance and Technology teams to identify opportunities for reconciliation automation, including the use of AI, system integrations, and workflow improvements to reduce manual intervention and operational risk.
• Maintain appropriate documentation and controls around treasury processes, payment approvals, reconciliations, and account movements.
• Identify process gaps and propose improvements to strengthen controls, improve efficiency, and reduce manual workarounds.
