Job summary

Ria Money Transfer, INC. in Malaysia seeks a treasury professional to oversee liquidity, cash forecasting, and financial reporting for multiple entities. You will manage cash positions, prepare forecasts, and ensure accurate reporting while coordinating with internal teams and external partners.

The role requires strong Excel skills, a proactive mindset, and a track record in treasury or related finance roles. You will drive improvements and support FX activities in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor in Accounting/Finance preferred.
• Min 4-6 years of treasury or related experience.
• Experience in accounting, banking, financial reporting, or FP&A.
• Advanced Excel skills required.

Responsibilities

• Manage worldwide liquidity position including cash position and cash forecast for multiple entities/accounts.
• Perform daily cash transaction processing, position consolidation, bank file interfaces, reconciliation, and reporting.
• Monitor intraday cash positions in real time to ensure sufficient funds for liquidity.
• Develop tools and reporting to minimize fraud across payments (wire, ACH, cards).
• Support Treasury with FX options, spot, swaps, forward deals, exotic currency booking, and reporting.
• Recommend process improvements to drive efficiencies, including automation of processes.
• Recognize payment patterns for risk analysis and cash applications efficiency.
• Identify cost-savings opportunities and assist on special projects.
• Assist in ad-hoc tasks assigned by manager.

JOB FUNCTIONS / RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Manage company’s worldwide liquidity position including cash position and cash forecast for multiple legal entities and accounts.


2. Perform all ongoing daily cash transaction processing, position consolidation, bank file interfaces, reconciliation, and reporting activities in an accurate and timely manner.


3. Monitor intra-day cash positions on a real-time basis to ensure sufficient funds for daily liquidity and transaction processing.


4. Develops tools and reporting to minimize fraud across a variety of payment types, e.g., wire, ACH, credit card, and other payment processes.


5. Offer additional support to the Treasury team by completing operational functions including FX option, spot, swap and forward deal execution, exotic currency booking and return processing, and ad-hoc as well as routine reporting and analyses.


6. Recommend process improvements to drive efficiencies, including automating current processes.


7. Ability to recognize payment patterns and trending for risk analysis and cash applications efficiency.


8. Identify cost-savings opportunities and provide ongoing support for special projects.


9. Assist in ad- hoc task assigned by manager.

SKILLS & ABILITIES

1. Must be a self-starter who is able to work independently and interface with all relevant internal teams and external business partners as needed.


2. Ability to learn quickly in a dynamic environment and proactively initiate and champion change.


3. Knowledge of the banking industry and technical knowledge of bank products.


4. Understanding of accounting and month-end close processes.


5. Advanced Microsoft Excel experience.


6. Must be well-organized, detail-oriented, and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.


7. Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.


8. Demonstrated critical thinking and evaluation skills.


9. Highly analytical and forward-looking with a strong ability to execute, meet deadlines, and deliver high-quality work products.


10. Teamwork; excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

EDUCATION

1. Bachelor in Accounting/Finance is preferred

WORK EXPERIENCE

1. Min 4-6 year of treasury or related experience in accounting, banking, financial reporting, or financial planning and analysis.
