Job summary

ACCA Careers in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, seeks an experienced Transfer Pricing professional to lead client engagements and oversee TP portfolios for financial services clients. Based in Malaysia, you will drive OECD and Singapore TP guidelines compliance, coordinate with Mazars network firms, and mentor a regional team to deliver strategic TP solutions.

Qualifications

• Min. degree in law, finance, tax, accounting or relevant discipline.
• 5–10 years Transfer Pricing experience preferably in the Asia-Pacific and/or Europe region and from a professional services firm.
• Preferably with experience in dealing with TP matters with Financial Services Clients and/ or Financial Transactions.
• An SCTP accreditation would be an added advantage.
• Strong leadership, interpersonal and communication skills.
• Familiar with OECD and Singapore TP guidelines.
• Strong delivery management, enforcement of timely execution and on time delivery.
• Proven leadership, project management and analytical skills.
• Proven communication skills, including spoken and written English and Mandarin (an added advantage).
• Strong team player.

Responsibilities

• Advise clients on their Singapore and international tax affairs and pricing implications of related-party dealings.
• Help clients comply with transfer pricing rules and plan TP strategies using OECD and Singapore guidelines.
• Work with international clients to align TP policies with their business models.
• Conduct functional analysis interviews, benchmarking studies and TP documentation.
• Advise on planning opportunities based on OECD and Singapore TP guidelines.
• Coordinate with Mazars global network firms on client issues.
• Project manage regional and/or global TP projects.
• Manage TP audits and regional TP engagements.
• Deliver transfer pricing solutions for multinational clients in financial services across regions.
• Lead the team for functional analysis, industry research and benchmarking; develop approaches accordingly.
• Lead the advice and preparation of TP policies and documentation.
• Review and provide recommendations on client agreements and documents for compliance and risk mitigation.
• Identify cross-border business development opportunities within TP engagements.
• Build strong external and internal relationships with clients and networks.
• Participate in ad hoc projects as required.
