Job summary

Great Eastern is seeking a proactive Training and Development professional in Kuala Lumpur. The role focuses on designing curriculum, delivering training, and coaching agency managers to achieve targeted results.

Ideal candidates hold a relevant bachelor degree and have 3–5 years’ experience in life insurance or retail financial services. Strong presentation and mentoring skills are essential, with a passion for people development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Business Administration, Insurance, Education or related disciplines
• At least 3–5 years of working experience in life insurance and/or retail financial services in Training, Sales or Marketing
• Knowledge of financial planning (RFP module, PCE & CEILI) is an added advantage
• Good training and presentation skills
• Good coaching and mentoring skills
• Enthusiastic, self-motivated and passionate about people development

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and implement relevant training curriculum aligned with Agency Training & Development path.
• Deliver and monitor implementation of all training initiatives to align with company objectives.
• Conduct post-training coaching sessions for development intervention and activity management of agency managers.
• Identify training needs and continuously enhance training programs to meet agents' needs.
• Propose evaluation measures to determine training impact and results.
• Monitor training programs to ensure effective execution and post-training benefits.
• Track and review training content and upgrade materials to stay current.
• Participate in training-related events and special projects.
• Assist on other responsibilities assigned by management.

Job description

• Deliver, execute, and monitor implementation of all training and development initiatives to align with company’s objectives.
• Conduct post-training and follow up through coaching sessions for development intervention and activity management of agency managers to achieve their targeted results.
• Identify training and development needs and continuously enhance training programs in order to meet the training needs of agents.
• Propose to HOD on the measurement of the results by completing a post program or project evaluation to determine how well the results are achieved.
• Monitor implementation of training programs to ensure effective execution.
• Monitor and measure post-training performance to ensure delivering the desired post-training benefits, identify performance gaps and follow-up with appropriate remedial actions to close the identified gaps.
• Track and review training contents and continuously upgrade content to ensure materials are up to date and relevant.
• Participate in training-related events and special projects.
• Assist on other responsibilities assigned by the management from time to time.

We are looking for people with

• Bachelor degree of Business Administration, Insurance, Education or related disciplines
• At least 3-5 years of working experience in life insurance and/or retail financial services business in the areas of Training, Sales or Marketing
• Knowledge and qualification in financial planning is an added advantage, i.e. completed Registered Financial Planner (RFP) module, PCE & CEILI
