Job summary

My Recruit Direct is seeking a Safety & Traffic Coordinator in Tebrau, Johor to develop and implement traffic management plans in line with regulations, ensuring safe movement of vehicles, forklifts and pedestrians, and to coordinate emergency response procedures.

Require Diploma/Degree in Occupational Safety & Health, Safety Management, Engineering or related field, with experience in safety, traffic management or manufacturing environments, and strong communication and problem‑solving skills.

Qualifications

• Diploma/degree in Occupational Safety & Health, Safety Management, Engineering or related field.
• Experience in safety, traffic management, logistics, manufacturing or industrial environments is an advantage.
• Good knowledge of workplace safety and road traffic safety practices.
• Strong communication, coordination and problem-solving skills.
• Able to conduct risk assessments and implement safety control measures.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement traffic management plans in compliance with applicable regulations.
• Ensure safe movement of vehicles, forklifts, transporters and pedestrians within the premises.
• Monitor traffic flow and ensure proper pedestrian–forklift/vehicle segregation.
• Establish and coordinate emergency response procedures for accidents and traffic-related incidents.
• Monitor traffic conditions and make necessary adjustments to improve safety and traffic flow.
• Coordinate with forklift drivers, transporters and employees regarding traffic changes and potential disruptions.
• Conduct regular risk assessments and implement appropriate control measures.
• Ensure compliance with Malaysia Road Traffic Safety, safety and applicable company regulations.
• Report safety, environmental and compliance matters to the supervisor.
• Support continuous improvement in occupational safety, environmental and traffic management practices.
• Perform other safety-related duties as assigned.
