BigHire in Malaysia is seeking a Design Engineer to create and refine tooling using CAD software, focusing on manufacturability and seamless integration into production. You will oversee tooling projects end-to-end, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and ensure quality and compliance for all tooling designs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Proficiency in CAD/AutoCAD software is essential.
• Experience with DFM and mold flow analysis is required.
• Experience >5 years with injection molding is preferable.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop new tooling using CAD software and analyze existing designs for manufacturability.
• Collaborate with mold makers, designers, production and other teams to review part designs.
• Oversee tooling projects from conception to completion, ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery.
• Identify and resolve tooling issues, perform repairs and implement engineering changes.
• Ensure tooling complies with standards and conduct QA tests on new designs.
• Create and maintain documentation for tooling and processes.
