Job summary

Intel Corporation in Malaysia's Penang site is seeking an Analog Product Development Engineer to drive testability and manufacturability of analog and RF ICs from feasibility through production ramp. The role emphasizes DFTest, calibration, and ATE support, with on-site presence in Penang.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering.
• 3+ years in analog and/or RF product development, including circuit design, characterization, and validation.
• Proficiency in developing and debugging software for automated test solutions.
• Hands-on experience with DSP, BERTS/Scopes, and automated test equipment (ATE).
• Preferred: Master's degree with 2+ years of experience and strong cross‑functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Develop and validate analog and RF IC testability features.
• Collaborate with design teams to implement DFT features and optimize test strategies.
• Debug and refine software for automated test equipment and design validation flows.
• Perform correlation studies between ATE and design validation; debug functionality and performance issues.
• Characterize circuits for power and thermal performance; ensure datasheet compliance.
• Define calibration and trimming techniques for power delivery and thermal sensing.
• Monitor production data to optimize yield and address post-release concerns.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and validate analog and RF integrated circuit testability features, ensuring alignment with design requirements and industry benchmarks.
• Collaborate with design teams to implement design-for-test (DFT) features and optimize production test strategies.
• Debug and refine complex software programs to support automated test equipment (ATE) and design validation flows.
• Perform correlation studies between ATE and design validation, debugging functionality and performance issues to root cause.
• Characterize circuits for power and thermal performance, ensuring compliance with datasheet specifications and internal standards.
• Define and implement calibration and trimming techniques for power delivery and thermal sensing circuits, supporting performance optimization and binning processes.
• Monitor production data to optimize yield and resolve post-release concerns, ensuring product quality and reliability.

Qualifications

• Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in analog and/or RF product development, including circuit design, characterization, and validation.
• Proficiency in developing and debugging software programs for automated test solutions and test equipment.
• Hands-on experience with digital signal processing, BERTS/Scopes, and automatic test equipment (ATE).
• Demonstrated ability to debug and analyze circuit functionality and performance issues.
• Preferred Qualifications
• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field with 2+ years of professional experience.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively across teams.
• Proven track record of driving innovation in production testing, calibration, and yield optimization.
